UFSC Innovation Committee was created to assist the Office of Innovation in its tasks related to Intellectual Property protection, innovation incentive, and technology transfer and valuation.
Among the responsibilities of the committee are:
- participate in the decision-making process of activities inherent to the policy of innovation, entrepreneurship, technology transfer and protection of intellectual property;
- assist in the evaluation of processes involving technology licensing or matters related to plant variety and copyright;
- give opinion on the patentability evaluation of research results, on incubation activities and on the activities of the University’s Scientific and Technological Park.
